The short version. Some links on SnaptoRoom are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra. We pick what we recommend on its merits — commission rates do not change what we recommend.
What this means in practice
SnaptoRoom is operated by Recreative Solutions LLC, a Maryland limited liability company. We participate in or are applying to several affiliate-marketing programs run by retailers and affiliate networks. When you click a product link on this site or in the design tool and complete a qualifying purchase at the retailer, we may receive a commission from that retailer or its affiliate network.
This is at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same as if you'd reached the retailer's site directly.
Programs we participate in (or have applied to)
- Amazon Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
- Wayfair Affiliate Program (managed through Impact.com).
- ShareASale affiliate network and merchant programs participating on it (including, where approved, Article, CB2, West Elm, and others).
- Rakuten Advertising affiliate network and its merchant programs.
- Awin affiliate network and its merchant programs (including the Etsy affiliate program where Etsy is hosted on Awin).
The list above reflects current and pending program memberships. We update it when programs are added, suspended, or removed.
How we pick what to recommend
- Style fit. Does the product belong in the room we're designing? Every recommendation includes a High-Low pivot — an anchor-tier (splurge) option and a body-tier (dupe) option, with an honest note on what you trade by going cheaper.
- Quality and durability. Frame construction, fabric, finish, and weight matter more than retail price tag.
- Availability. A great recommendation that's perpetually out of stock isn't a great recommendation.
Commission rates do not influence which products we recommend. When two products are otherwise comparable, we choose the one we'd actually pick — sometimes that means recommending a product whose retailer pays a lower commission (or no commission at all) over one whose retailer pays a higher commission.
How retailer pricing works at the moment of purchase
Product prices, shipping, and availability change at the retailer without notice. The price displayed in our tool may differ from the price shown when you click through. Always verify the current price and details on the retailer's site before purchasing. We're not responsible for retailer pricing or fulfillment, and we can't guarantee promotional prices, sale availability, or inventory.
Tracking and cookies
When you click an affiliate link on SnaptoRoom, the retailer's affiliate network may set a tracking cookie that allows the network to attribute a qualifying purchase back to our referral. These cookies are set by the retailer or its affiliate network, not by us. The retailer's privacy policy governs how that data is used. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the data we collect.
FTC compliance
This disclosure is made in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising" (16 CFR Part 255). Where required by program rules or by FTC guidance, individual posts and product lists also include a per-page disclosure noting the presence of affiliate links.
Where the affiliate revenue goes
Affiliate commissions help us keep SnaptoRoom running and pay for the AI inference, hosting, and operations that power the design tool. We do not accept payment from brands in exchange for editorial coverage, and we do not run sponsored posts on snaptoroom.com without a clear, prominent Sponsored label that makes the financial relationship explicit.
