Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how SnaptoRoom, operated by Recreative Solutions LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use snaptoroom.com, app.snaptoroom.com, and the SnaptoRoom design tool (together, the "Service").
We wrote this to be readable. If you have a question it doesn't answer, email hello@snaptoroom.com.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us directly
- Email address — when you sign up for the waitlist, create an account, or contact support.
- Room photos and images — when you upload them to generate a redesign.
- Design preferences — style direction, budget range, room dimensions, and any notes you provide.
- Account information — name, password (stored hashed), profile fields.
- Payment information — processed by our payment processor (Lemon Squeezy at launch); we do not see or store full card numbers.
- Communications — anything you send us via email or support.
1.2 Information we collect automatically
- Log data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, referrer.
- Device information — operating system, device type, screen size.
- Usage data — interactions with the design tool, which products you click, what styles you save.
- Cookies — see Section 5.
2. How we use your information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Generate AI-powered room redesigns and product recommendations from photos you upload.
- Track affiliate-link clicks and commissions as required by our affiliate-program partners.
- Send product updates, early-access notifications, and marketing emails only if you've opted in. Unsubscribe at any time.
- Respond to support requests.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Room photos — what happens to them
This section is the contract. We've made specific commitments here that we hold ourselves to.
We retain uploaded room photos for a maximum of 90 days. After 90 days, the photo is automatically purged from our object storage and from any derived processing artifacts. You can request earlier deletion at any time by emailing hello@snaptoroom.com or using the "Delete my data" link in your dashboard.
- We do not sell your photos to third parties for any purpose.
- We do not allow LLM or image-model providers to use your photos as training data. When we send a photo to a third-party AI provider for processing, we use enterprise terms or API endpoints that explicitly prohibit retention or model training on the input. If a provider's terms ever require otherwise, we change providers, not the policy.
- We do not publish your photos. A photo you upload is never shown publicly without your explicit consent.
- A photo plus the design output may be retained beyond 90 days only if you explicitly save it to your account, in which case it stays until you delete it or close the account.
For a record of every photo we hold for you, email hello@snaptoroom.com with the subject line "Data export" and we'll send it within 30 days.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in these specific cases:
- Service providers that operate parts of our platform under contract — cloud hosting (Hostinger, Vercel, Cloudflare), object storage (Cloudflare R2), email delivery (Kit / ConvertKit), analytics, error monitoring, and payment processing (Lemon Squeezy at launch). Each provider operates under terms that limit their use of your information to delivering the Service to us.
- AI and image-model providers in our design pipeline. We currently route through Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), and Fal.ai (FLUX.1) under enterprise terms that prohibit training on your inputs. If we add or change providers we'll update this list.
- Affiliate-network partners (Amazon Associates, Wayfair, ShareASale-managed merchants, Rakuten Advertising, Awin) for tracking referrals and commissions. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Legal authorities when required by valid legal process or when we have a good-faith belief disclosure is necessary to protect against serious harm.
- A successor in interest in the event of a merger or sale. We will notify you and you'll have the option to delete your data before the transfer.
We do not share information with advertisers or data brokers. The Service does not run advertising.
5. Cookies and tracking
- Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in and the Service functioning. These cannot be turned off.
- Analytics cookies help us understand aggregate usage. We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider that does not set cross-site tracking cookies.
- Affiliate tracking cookies are set by retailers when you click an affiliate link. They allow the retailer's affiliate network to attribute a qualifying purchase to our referral.
You can control cookies through your browser. Disabling strictly-necessary cookies will break parts of the Service. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as opt-out requests where applicable.

7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that's inaccurate.
- Delete your data ("right to erasure"). The 90-day photo purge runs automatically; account deletion is on request.
- Port your data to another service (we'll provide it in a structured, common format).
- Object to or restrict certain uses of your information.
- Opt out of "sales" of personal information. We do not sell personal information; this right is preserved by default.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@snaptoroom.com. We will respond within 30 days, free of charge.
If you're in the European Union, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have these rights under GDPR. The legal basis for processing is consent (for marketing emails), contract performance (for delivering the Service), and legitimate interest (for security and abuse prevention). You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
If you're in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have these rights under that state's law. We do not engage in "targeted advertising," "sale" of personal information, or "profiling" producing legal or similarly significant effects.
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, email hello@snaptoroom.com and we will delete it.
9. International data transfers
Recreative Solutions LLC is based in Maryland, USA. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) where required, and we limit transfers to processors who maintain comparable data-protection standards.
10. Security
- TLS 1.3 in transit.
- At-rest encryption for object storage and database backups.
- Hashed passwords (bcrypt or equivalent).
- Two-factor authentication on every operator account.
- Backups to a separate cloud provider with 30-day retention.
- Quarterly review of who has access to what.
No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach affecting your information, we will notify you within 72 hours of confirming the incident, with the details required by applicable law.
11. Third-party links
The Service contains links to third-party retailer websites. We're not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit through our product links.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Past versions are archived; email hello@snaptoroom.com for a copy.
